My Poems, My Life, My SoulLife is a biography containing the chapters of our lives. The chapters can be stories or poems,spanning several years or the hours spent within a single day. They chronicle beginnings, middles and endings detailing trials and tribulations through plot twists and climaxes. The five chapters presented in this anthology of poetry are from the first quarter century of my life. The poetry on this website are a reflection of emotions written in poetic detail which chapter critical periods I have endured. The release of energy, positive and negative, through the writing of the poetry created vital turning point in me beginning to gain inner peace. Each Section is different and has a detailed introduction to introduce the poetry. A brief description of each is below. I must warn you "Poems of a Lost Soul" was fueled by thoughts with intent to commit suicide and are very dark expressions. During this time is when I first experienced "it"... The presence of GOD At the opposite end of that spectrum once God delivered from bondage the "inspirational" section shine a bright light eliminating the darkness. "Seasons of love" dive into the emotional, physical and spiritual side of relationships between a man and a woman. Although I no longer wanted to kill myself, learning to live my life in this world was extremely difficult. "Struggling to Survive". "Feelings" are a reflection of my youth, growing up in the south with the beauty of nature and the ugliness of racism. The influence of music is also expressed in a few of the selections. Look around the website, I will be updating it weekly with new poetry. I currently have around two hundred poetry selections to add to this website.
